Eastern VP Fuels to Support New England Dragway Hot Rod Series 4-11-07 - Eastern VP Sales in Eliot, Maine is pleased to announce a fuel discount and contingency awards program for 2007 New England Dragway Hot Rod Series competitors. Eastern VP’s president, Steve Cultrera wants to recognize Pete DeVita for making this program possible "We all really need to thank Pete for helping to put this program together. He’s a devoted advocate of this series and it’s participants. It delights us to be able to give something back to our sportsman customers. It was Pete’s idea to pay contingency to the number 1 qualifier, and it fits our perception of this series grass-roots culture." Bob Taylor, manager of Eastern VP, outlines the discount program: "We have a discount schedule for racers registered to compete in the Hot Rod program. We have delivery available. We just ask that you use our products and run our stickers. We’re trying to keep it simple for everyone." Hot Rod Series director Pete DeVita points out "The majority of the series competitors already use VP fuel and are familiar with their products so the discounts should be beneficial. The guys at Eastern VP were looking for a way to dispense contingency awards and they liked the idea of rewarding the number 1 qualifier."
